Spring has experienced consistent growth since commencing commercial operations in 2011. We have offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, with satellite offices in Canberra, Newcastle and Wollongong and considerable further expansion throughout regional centres in the planning.

What can you do at Spring?

 Qualified & Senior Appointments

We welcome applications from experienced advisory and support staff, even when we are not advertising specific vacancies. All approaches are strictly confidential and are assessed on a case by case business by Spring’s senior management. 

Graduate Program – Financial Advisers

Join our industry-leading graduate program. You will learn all aspects of working as a financial adviser and successful graduates will be offered full-time employment and will complete their training to obtain RG146 certification enabling them to act as a qualified adviser. 

Paid Internship – Rotational Program

If you’ve just completed your study or are nearing completion you can apply for a paid internship. During this four-month trainee program at our Sydney headquarters you will rotate through various facets of the business and if successful will be offered a place in our graduate program to get you on the path to being able to act as a qualified adviser.

Unpaid Internship – Rotational Program

If you are required to complete work experience as part of your study you can apply to our unpaid intern program. Successful applicants will embark on a trainee program during which they will have the opportunity to rotate throughout the various departments within the business and gain a holistic understanding of how the business operates.

 Our commitment to education and training of advisory personnel

Whilst financial advisers in Australia will generally need to meet the ASIC set training standards by completing an approved training course that could take as little as two weeks to complete (described as being RG146 Compliant) opening the door to an adviser being authorised or licensed and to advising clients, at Spring FG we have chosen to set the hurdle much higher.

Our minimum requirement is that our advisers have completed a university undergraduate degree (or have a minimum of 10 years business experience) with many of our advisers holding double degrees and post graduate qualifications. This is in addition to the requirement for specific financial services qualifications such as holding a Diploma of Financial Planning.

We have also set above average ongoing education and training targets for all of our advisory staff throughout the year that are at least 30% higher than widely practised industry minimums. We encourage and fund membership of professional financial services, accounting & tax, equities markets, property and SMSF specialist associations.
